About Me: My UI/UX Journey

My journey from SRM to a career in UI/UX began in an unexpected way. While pursuing my MCA, I dreamed of opening a photography studio, but family responsibilities changed my direction. One afternoon in a tea shop, a video about UI/UX design popped up on my mobile and it instantly caught my imagination. Back in my hostel room, I dove deep—exploring Figma tutorials and hundreds of free online resources, teaching myself the essentials of design.
During campus placements at SRM, when everyone opted for typical development roles, I was the only one to choose UI/UX Design. This caught the attention of the Functional Head at FSS. Curious, he asked about my interest. I shared my story from the tea shop, which resonated so much that he took me straight to the UI/UX team for an immediate interview. That moment marked the real beginning of my design career.
My work bridges UI/UX and frontend development: I collaborate with developers, leveraging skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery to ensure our products are not just appealing, but also highly usable.
Today at FSS, I work closely on:
Mobile application design for major Indian banks like BOI and IOB, creating intuitive and secure user experiences for their banking apps.
Designing the UPI Whitelabel SDK product—a powerful mobile application solution enabling seamless digital transactions.
Payment gateway interfaces for Middle Eastern banks.
Internal tools: server monitoring dashboards, administrative and banking interfaces.
Driven by curiosity and empathy, I'm passionate about designing digital products that simplify complexity and create value for both users and businesses.
